The Fab Five. One Pieces

I’ll confess I don’t wear one pieces that often. I have a long torso. But when I do, I feel uber cool. Even better, put on some shorts or a skirt with one…taa daa, instant cute outfit.

So I perused the amazing singlets out there, and here are 5 fantabulous onesies that make me want to cover my bellybutton all summer. One pieces aren’t just for swim team anymore folks, but if you would wear any of these 5 in a swim meet, you’d look amazing. Even with a swim cap and goggles.

1: Tyler Rose - Just like a Woman.  It’s net, it’s bright, it has a ruffle, it’s double straps can be can be tied as a bandeau or a halter, it’s versatile. IT’S AWESOME.

2: Mikoh - Montauk. The knots. The knots. The Knots!!! I’m obsessed with these knots.

3: Tori Praver- Lucy If you’ve ever worn Tori’s smocked fabric, you know they make you look & feel awesome. The more smockedness, the better. Bonus points for a removable strap.

4: Letarte - Coton candy - The details people. The details. Little shells and turquoise beads between your cleavage, great pattern. Fun colors. Love it.

5: Acacia Marrakesh - Oh emmm geee. How I love theeee. Especially in the Choctaw pattern. Bonus points for being able to wear anywhereability.

…Next week, bikinis under $100. Boo ya!

Quick, Messy, Side Fishtail Braid 101:
1: Go in the ocean. Hang out on the beach and when hair is almost dry…
2: Pull hair to one side and divide into 2 even sections.
3. Grab a small piece of hair from the outside of one section, and pull it over to the outside of the other section.
4. Repeat on the other side: Grab a small piece of hair from the outside of the section, and pull it over to the outside of the other section.
6. Continue until you are at your ends. Then tie (if you need) and mess it up a bit by pulling at the braid a little.
7. If that doesn’t make any sense, watch Mimi.  She has a cute accent.  High-res

Tyler Rose Swimwear: Rock on & Get Wet

If Jimi Hendrix was Jamie, or Mick Jagger had a twin named Nikki, and they endorsed a swimwear line, it would be Tyler Rose. Yes my friends, these suits absolutely rock. The fringed tops, amazing textured fabrics, vibrant stripes and patterns, all look like designer Nichole Carroll had access to Janis Joplin’s wardrobe for her last shoot for Rolling Stone, and turned what she saw into a one of the funnest, original, and still functional (i.e. they actually stay on and are H2O compatible) lines to date. Seriously, these suits have that little bit of artistic flair paired with killer style that you can’t help but feel a bit saucy wearing.
