Wanderlust Swimwear. The LBB perfected.

There’s one bikini you must own. The perfect fitting, go to little black bikini. As many bikinis as I own (a number I will not disclose), the LBB is definitely worn the most. Maybe it’s because I feel like a James Bond girl whenever I wear one. If you don’t have one, it’s time to switch to the dark side.

No worries, I found the perfect place to grab one…

Say enchanté to Wanderlust swimwear. A line of perfect fitting, amazingly well constructed LBB’s designed to fit any shape and occasion. The fabric, oh the fabric, is thick, luscious, body hugging jersey Lomellina (made in Italy), that has a matte look, dries quickly, is pilling resistant and has an SPF of 50+.

Designer & owner Marina Hamm’s line is unique, and quite smart. She put the focus on function, durability and fit over colors, flair and trends. These suits are made to be worn, worn well, and worn a lot.

Do I own a LBB from Wanderlust? You betcha. Which one? The Coachella. Do I wear it regularly and feel like I belong in a James Bond movie? Ohhhh yeah buddy.

what are your best tips for exuding that beachy summer vibe even in the winter when you gotta dress a bit more warmly?

Layers, Colors, and Messy Hair…

Great question, and I will be dealing with this when I go to Colorado for Christmas later on this week. It was 15 degrees recently, but I will still pack a bikini.

Anyways, to keep the beach vibe alive when temps are below 60, layer your summer tops, remember to rock bright colors as much as possible, keep that hair messy, and your overall look effortless.

I put together a few looks above for an example. Sorry I am barefoot, but hope this helps!

Imrie Boutique. A little retail heaven

If I won a large amount of money tomorrow. I would give some to charity then book a flight back to Maui, hop in a rental car (maybe even upgrade to an SUV for the road to Hana) and go buy an entirely new wardrobe at Imrie Boutique.

The place is what stylin’ beach babes dream of. Acacia and other hard to find amazing bikinis fill up the swim section, and a vast array of super sweet lines in prices that work with any budget, fill up the color coordinated racks (Aila Blue & Maui Rose included). It is light, breezy, comfortable, completely unpretentious and you can tell a bunch of love and thought is put into running it, and each item that is ordered.

Even cooler, Imrie is a family owned and run boutique. Plus, they even have some items that they design and make themselves mixed in. I am a proud owner of one of their Capitalo belted mini skirts, and am wishing I would’ve snatched up one of their long sleeve distressed, buttery soft v-necks as well….and a cardigan…and another dress…and maybe a clutch.

Never fear, they ship, also have a seasonal store in the Hamptons, and have some items you can buy on their facebook page. (I highly recommend you like it)

Finally, to the lovely Lola, thank you for all of your help. You are gorgeous and oh so stylin….must run in the family.

Aila Blue, I love you

Aila Blue. For your salty days and balmy nights. Done. I am already a fan of this line, just by its tagline. Now let’s talk about the clothes…

Designer Mai Miyama made a line that’s for bohemian jetsetters, lovers of amazing cuts and prints, and gals who…just like the tagline suggests, need something perfect to wear day and night on breezy beautiful beaches worldwide. Once you try a piece on, you’ll know how special the line is. You won’t want to wear shoes, or any accessories because the dresses themselves encompass the simplicity of awesome beach style.

Each piece is a head-turner, but still classy, well made, can be dressed up or down, and makes me want to book a trip to Bali (where the line is made) as soon as humanly possible. Some of my favorites are this little backless jersey number, the Kusuma dress and my newly acquired Princess dress in ice print (pictured above).

Ola Feroz Swimwear. Handmade bikini love.

When Jessica Garcia wanted a bikini line that she could do anything and everything in, while still looking amazingly hot, she took matters into her own hands. Literally.

Meet Ola Feroz, Jessica’s line of mix & match, unique, high-quality, flattering, fierce bikinis that, you guessed it, she makes by hand.

After visiting Venezuela every summer, where a local seamstress would hand make her a custom bikini, Jessica took Phi Beta Kappa-esque notes, learned to sew her own bikinis, and put her bikini addiction to work. Wherever that inspiring seamstress might be today, might we all thank you, because this line rocks.
