Oh, party pants. I love thee. They can brighten up your mood, day, and put a little extra pep in your step. Plus, when it comes down to it, they’re just fun to wear. So, usually I just buy a pair of whatever Billabong comes up with each season, but figure instead of just rocking those in a pic, I’d do a little round-up of a few styles that caught my eye this summer.
A few style notes for zee party pants
• You can rock them year-round. When it gets cooler, just swap your tank for a long sleeve tee, then add a jean jacket. Or just say to hell with it and wear a chunky neutral knit on top. And you can even rock a jean jacket on top of that.
• Speaking of neutral, I like to keep the party on the bottom and it basic on the top: white, black or grey. (This long-sleeve tee by Madewell is my go-to, same with this tank.)
• Tuck the front of your top into the waistband, or knot the tee/tank. Or heck, just wear it however you want, I just feel like I look less sloppy if I do a tuck or a knot.
• I’m known to trip over my pants. It’s a hazard of fashion I’m willing to endure.
• If people make a comment about your obnoxiously bright and tropically vibed pants, just smile, and say, “thanks it’s always 82 and sunny in my mind.”
Ok here are some of my favorites:
1: Billabong Float on By Pants – There’s s much room to party in these bad boys
2: These Linen beauties by Zimmerman – Were love at first sight. An investment piece, perhaps?
3: Roxy Adventure wide-leg pants – Gets the award for best color and showing the most leg. I love blue.
4: Amuse Society Shady Shack High Wasted pant – Nothing shady about these. I have a dress in the same fabric, different hue. Swoon.
5: Billabong Heart Beats pants – Print and color scheme. Billabong, I don’t know how you do it, but yo do.
6: O’Neill Johnny Pants – Somewhat simple and neutral, but still…ready to party.
7: Free People wide-leg pants. Good call on the little belt on these beauties. Good call.
8:Roxy Oceanside beach pants – are ready to be worm ocean side, riverside, lakeside, ore really anywhere-side.
9: Yes, these hibiscus Wildfox beauties are sweats, – but I live in sweats and they have hibiscus on them. They’re also on sale. Party on sweats.
10: These beauties are made from recycled vintage aloha shirts – …and no two pairs are the same. Excuse me while I pick my jaw off the floor.
11: These Striped Bella Dahl beauties – Nice call on the side slits and color scheme. Plus the fabric is great. (I have a similar pair in grey stripes. No slide slits. boo.)
12: Of course DVF knows what’s up. …and these pink twill beauties are on sale.
I’ll cave and get one of these here soon. We shall see which one it shall be.
Party on pants. Party on.
Note: Everything is also over on my wishlist page.
Do you have the name/model of the #12 pair? Thanks!
Just added the link! They’re DVF and are on sale 🙂
