I just finished turning ¾ of my home office into a baby nursery. During a heatwave. In our rental that has no a/c or cross-breeze. Which had me dreaming of something more than ever, and doing a cannon ball into this whole nesting phase thing…The Beach House.
So, here’s a few items that have me not minding using my desk also as a changing table one bit. Since it will help us save up, and hopefully wake up one day to a cool yet warm tropical breeze and coconut trees.
This delectable room (I think it was designed for Billabong or something) with a huge photo canvas headboard, natural wood wall, surfboard, and that boho surf chic vibe I drool over. A lot.
A pineapple desk fan. Because every beach house, or house with a beach loving homo sapien in it, needs a pineapple fan. So I might be buying this soon to make not having A/C that much more juicy.
This whole hammock underneath a loft setup idea. Which happens to be freaking brilliant. I’m thinking it would be great in a home office space, or living room, or outdoor space, or any space.
This print, or any print from blacklist studio. Because their prints feed my sandy, artsy, wanderlusting spirit animal soul.
A mug wall. Because I love coffee, tea, or any warm beverage consumed in a mug. And I love to show mine off.
…and finally,
I am ALL for this idea of an all windowed lounge room with a big gas bamboo futon covered in pillows that could cushion a jump from a 3 story building.
Actually, it’s a dream come true.
And on that note. I’m off to find all the spare change in our couch to bring to the bank and make a deposit in savings.
Dream baby dream. Especially of houses on the beach.
