Well, we are moving up the coast mañana, and what’s the one thing you do after sorting, purging and packing up your current home? Find more stuff to put in your new home. No, but really, I am determined to make our next rental a cool one. It has potential. Even though we have beige carpet everywhere and I rarely follow through with interior design tasks. I’m on a mission.
So, here are a few things that I’m contemplating putting in our new place, DIY-ing…or just saying to hell with it and dreaming of putting in a beach house (we own) one day.
Kawaiian Lion Palmy wallpaper. Because I’m convinced it could make any space instantly amazing. Even a cubicle in Siberia.
A hanging lounge chair. We don’t really have any real estate for a hammock, but have a cool little back patio with this bad boy’s name all over it.
A print by Blacklist studio. Because their work has the magical ability to make any room instantaneously rad.
A daybed cushion – That could make any corner of our home into a cozy reading nook. Or dog bed. Or place where I can sleep when my dog takes up our whole bed.
Then, for out little patio, I though this DIY outdoor lighting looked amazing. And doable. Someone hold me accountable to taking on this task.
I and DETERMINED to make a little kitchen nook. And this DIY also looks somewhat do-able too. Kitchen dreams can come true.
A nice big bright and airy room full of boards and pups. Which is a room that dream beach houses are made of.
Will keep you posted on the new place. Wish me luck with the new beige carpet.
