Alright. I have dozens of things I want to ramble on about, share, or simply post a ton of pics. But let’s get this oh-so-meaningful one out of the way. I chopped off my hair. Yes, in terms of things going on in the world, this is a minuscule detail, but it feels good to take a moment and enjoy a simple happy hair change, right?
I don’t know the exact inches, but somewhere around 10 ended up in a pile on the floor. It was time. I have super fine hair, and as much and I loved it being super long, when I braided it, the braid resembled that of a toddler whose mom was really excited to have enough hair to put into a braid.
The good news? Parting with the length opened a door for some major volume, which is always a goal of mine. I even bought some velcro rollers. It’s been fun.
I attempted to photograph it in a few different ways, so here we go.

1: How it looks after I air dry it, go through it with the big ‘ol wave wand, can’t remember when I last washed it, and finished it with some dry shampoo.

2: This was the two days after the cut initial documentation. The color is a little darker/warmer than this, but this shows off the cut and layers. I just used a curling iron here.

3: Here it is after some velcro roller magic. I air dried it (it dries somewhat wavy these days) then go through it with my blowout brush (The only thing close to a hairdryer I own) and put each section in a velcro roller after a few passes with the brush. Let it cool down in those suckers while I get dressed/put on makeup… VA VOOM!
That’s it for now. If I take any more pics (like how it looks in a claw clip/an updo) I’ll be sure to add to this post. More than likely that will be tomorrow.
All of this is of course because of my brilliant Hair Stylist, Erica. I pretty much say do your thing and make me look good and she nails it every single time.
