A Sandy Reunion

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you might recognize this place. When we lived on Oahu I’d drive out to Waimanalo Beach and spend hours taking photos for the blog and different companies. I’d pack my beach bag full of stuff, walk down until I found a place where no one would watch me, and slowly work on the art of auto-timer photography.

Well, we were back there last week, and I had a little reunion with this process. But instead of hours shooting, it was about five minutes while my son was chilling in the shade/resting up until we went back for another round of body surfing.

Anyway, it’s as stunning as ever. Yeah, a little more busy (Darn you New York Times journalist who named it the best beach in the US a while ago. Although I agree it’s one of the best beaches in the world.) But, it felt good to just take some kick-ass sandy and tan with wet hair picks, at 1 in the afternoon when the sun was at its most glorious brightness. Ahhhhhhhh.

The body surfing was a blast, too.

Cheers to sun, sand, memories, rad gear, and one helluva beautiful beach I just love soaking up.
