One of my favorite spots on the planet experienced record setting rainfall last week, which caused massive flooding, mudslides, and power outages. It was heartbreaking and crazy to see the pics coming in out of Hanalei and the North Shore.
So, I just wanted to quickly share two easy ways to help (since I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who thinks that particular spot on the globe is rather special.)
1: You can make donations to the Hanalei Haena flooding fund over at: gofundme.com/hanaleihaena-flooding-fund
and
2: If you have instagram, there’s an auction of over 360 items going on over at at @welovehanalei
There’s everything from signed guitars, jewelry, art, vacation packages, to lots of local items handmade on Kauai, and Pretty sure I saw a surfboard in there too. The Auction ends April 30th, and all money goes towards the go fund me (linked above) So shop, or at least bid on some amazing stuff, for a great cause.
If anyone has any other links or ways to help, please put them in the comments below.
Mother Nature can be devastating, but it’s amazing seeing people come together to help. Wishing all those affected a speedy recovery…and some much needed sunshine.
