I couldn’t decide how I wanted to paint my toes, so I just took the happy feet route…again. It ended up being a good decision, or I guess making the most of my indecisiveness. Yes, this is an odd hobby of mine.
So, if you have some piggies that need a little pick me up, here’s how you can paint some happy feet.
Basically all you do is pick five different motifs/patters/whatever you want to call it, and paint a different toe on each foot in that pattern.
I did the following: tropical leafs, daisy clusters, stripes, hearts, and some ambiguous little white flowers on a green background. The key is, you use the same, but all different colors on the toes. So, the rainbow stripe uses all the colors, then the other toes are combinations of the other colors. This ties it all together.
Now on to zeeee piggies:
Tools: I use this nail art kit, and all polish is Zoya or Julep (High quality 4 free polishes. It makes a big difference.)
Tropical Leaves Toes: Paint toes a light opaque peachy pink, then paint some leaves. Leaves = long dark green blobs with a skinny stem. Then go in with a lighter green down the middle for some dimension. Finally, go back and paint notches in the side of the leaves with the pink/peach base color.
Daisy Toes: Paint toes a bright opaque light blue, then put a cluster of daisies on the bottom corner, that trail up one side of the toe. Each daisy = 5 white dots in a circle with a yellow dot in the middle.
Color Stripe Toes: Paint the toe white, then paint five skinny stripes in the middle of it in the colors you are using to paint your toes.
Heart Print Toes: Paint toes some sort of yellowish color, then paint a few tiny red hearts. Hearts = two dots side by side then draw a tiny triangle to connect them.
Big White Flower Toes: Paint toes a teal color, then do two big white flowers. Big flowers = use a bigger dotting tool (or a bobby pin end) then go back in with the teal polish and make the petals a little bit more defined. Just leave the center of the flower blank so the teal shows through.
Let everything dry then seal the deal with a glossy topcoat.
Do a happy dance.
And another happy dance.
And smile when people say you toes are super cute.
Then…don’t wear closed toed shoes for a bit.
