HERE’S THE LATEST FROM MY DESK

Some wild salty inspired hair, and some flowers. Because I just love painting flowers. Well, I guess some sort of bloom ends up in every painting.

These are two examples of “I had no clue how they were going to turn out, I just started painting, then sketching, then painting some more, until I finally stepped away before ruining them”…paintings. Actually, that’s how all of them are.

So that’s my painting lesson. Just paint, then paint some more, then sketch, then paint some more, and learn when to walk away. Give it a shot. I promise it’s therapeutic too.

Prints are over at goldfishkissgoods.com

*The hair pic is inspired by a photo for Sea Bones Byron Bay (if you’re on the lookout for a killer indie surf shop run by some awesomely talented ladies, check it out.)

**Also, great supplies to start with watercolors are as follows; This watercolor set, a book like this, and a set of brushes. Just start, paint a ton of blobs of color, learn how the paints bleed together, then keep on painting. Fill up that book throughout the summer.
