Hair Update

There are so many things one must figure out after a big move. One important thing is finding a new hairstylist. I can be tricky, especially after the same stylist has worked her magic on me for the past six years ( erica, youre amazing). Well, I am so grateful that my friend Alyssa, who is here in Florida, happens to be a magician and an uber-talented artist with scissors, razors, and foils and toner as well. Safe to say, I am in really good hands, and we have plenty of laughs, too.

Ok, the deets on the beach hair:

The color = warm, kinda honey blonde highlights with some lowlights worked in since my hair got suuuuper blonde after moving back to the beach and having the sun do its thing. And of course covered up the stubborn little f*ckers/sparklers

The cut = got rid of about 3 inches (My hair is so fine, I think this is the magic length for it to be long but still have volume), kept it a little shaggy ( shag cut in some form for life), and a long face-framing bang. (I’ve learned that short bangs tend to look like greasy noodles on me because I have so many oils/moisturizers on my face at all times.)

So that’s it for the hair update. Cheers to many great hair days ahead, super talented friends, and one day figuring out how to take hair pics without feeling awkward and making a kissy face to compensate.
