Here are the last two pieces from Washington, and the first two in Florida. Now, the question is, can you guess which is which?

Well, I took a month off from painting because of the move, and it felt like I had forgotten to brush my teeth each day, without the plaque and bad breath. Like I’d forgotten to do something crucial to my health, you know? But, I’m slowly getting my office/studio/messy nook all setup, and loved finding time to slap some paint on paper in the mean time. Does one really need to be fully settled in to paint? Nope.
But, it feels good to feel inspired, find my new rhythm, and just keep on creating. Ohh I wish you all could see these in person someday, because it’s crushing how much is lost when they’re shrunk down to a screen.
On that note, wish me luck in mustering up the confidence to reach out to galleries this year. As in next week, or tomorrow, I just need to suck it up, deal with rejection and go for it.
Now fun art updates.
Ok there’s really only one.
There was a beautiful outdoor exhibit in Oostende, Belgium featuring artworks form the Surf & Art book. Well, my Jungle Waves piece was a part of the exhibit, and seeing pics of it made my heart smile. You can check it out here ( be sure to click through all the slides). How gorgeous of a setup is that? Adding the Belgium coastline to my must travel to soon list. And in the mean time, whenever I’m feeling down, will remind myself that I had some art in a breathtaking outdoor exhibit in Europe
What else? I’m painting more shells, and have dozens of paintings stuck in my mind. Let’s see which ones end up on a big piece of paper next. I’m thinking a series of old surfer dudes, or storm clouds, or more butterflies. Or…who knows. Sticking to one subject has never been my jam.
Fun times. Yay Art.
Art shop: goldfishkissgoods.com // My art only IG @goldfish_kiss_art #goldfishkissart (Or do I switch it all to Rebekah Steen art? I’m on the fence about it.) Pick up the Surf & Art book here
I’ll get all of these scanned, then they’ll be in the shop. (except for the cowboy hat one, that’s in there already)
