Handheld point-and-shoot waterproof cameras have always been my jam. I simply loop the strap on my bikini top or wrist and have a little tag along in the water in case anything or a moment pops up that calls for documentation. I also really enjoy messing around, taking pics at the water’s surface (where everything always looks so jello-licious and swirly).
So, given our new location and my frequency in the water, I finally got a brand spanking new one. I’ve always found used Fujifilm ones on eBay, and after going through too many of those, caved and got the super highly rated Olympus tough TG-7. So far so good. This sucker is supposed to hold strong through wipeouts, below freezing temps, 50 feet underwater, and even the ultimate test – my beach bag that’s filled with sand.
Anyways, here are a few snaps from some swims, one surf, a pier walk, and of course a sunset. Yes, I am a bit rusty with the underwater ones, but yeah. Going to have lots of fun with this thing.
