A poem, some scribbles and reminder to use my typewriter

My journal and notes app are full of prompts, random thoughts, and hard-to-read scribbles these days. But a few made a little sense (maybe more if I could read my handwriting), and a long overdue “real” poem finally came together. Then, I stumbled on something I’d written on a refurbished typewriter that my mom got me, and it reminded me I really need to bust out that thing and start using it. A ton.

…and as I was attempting to fall asleep, I realized this would make an interesting blog post for some reason. So I got up, and here we are…

Anywho, hopefully, something in one of these makes someone out there smile. The song poem got me a little choked up. It’s been a while since I wrote something that did that. So that’s a good thing.

Yay to words coming together, and dusting off that typewriter.

And going back to try and fall asleep.
