A few poems from a sunny day

The sun came out in full force yesterday, which had me FINALLY busting out the ‘ol journal and writing a few poems. (Ok, I also found some writing prompts on Pinterest the other day, and I highly recommend those too.) Anywho, here’s the result of a 72-degree, no-cloud-in-sight afternoon, swimming some laps, a few minutes spent scribbling in my journal, and then an hour or so bringing it all together on the computer.

Creative blocks happen. Thank you, sunshine, for helping me get some light through that wall.

Hope you like the poems, or something in one makes someone smile or feel less alone.

My book, Sunny Thoughts For Salty Souls, here and here (Signed copies)

Also, I’m working on a revised/expanded hardcover version of it..as well as a new cover design. The joys of self publising are real 🙂

That’s it…it’s another perfect day here. Time to go soak it up and see what else it will inspire that I’ve been talking myself out of doing these past few months.
