    May 22, 2023

Nothing profound to say, but I had some rad pics to share. Spring things and spring bling is the theme. Or… just we’ve had some gorgeous days up here, with good lighting, so I could

  • Scenes from Spring

    May 17, 2022October 19, 2022

Well, we’re currently in one of the coldest and wettest Springs here in The PNW we’ve had in quite a while.  Amazingly enough, my coffee consumption hasn’t skyrocketed, but things do feel like groundhog day,

  • Different Kind Of Spring Mood

    March 24, 2020

Well, what an interesting start to Spring. The days are longer and things are blooming, and I’m just trying to not turn into Bill Murray in What About Bob through it all. There’s a lot

  • A moodboard and some thoughts

    April 25, 2019

I’ve been in one of those slumps lately – lots of overthinking, mixed with the usual self-doubt and sprinkling of sleepiness, throw in a bit of frustration too, and yet a heap of happiness that

  • Blooms where I’m planted

    April 10, 2019April 10, 2019

“God winks.” Someone commented the other day with that term, and I immediately took a mental note to never forget it. It pretty much sums up this kind of stuff oh so perfectly: Cherry blossoms

  • We pulled up to the beach

    May 7, 2018December 12, 2018

We pulled up to the beach today and just said, “whoa”. That’s been happening a lot lately. I’m thinking I really really like our first Spring on the Emerald Coast.  The water is kinda cool

  • More Happy Feet

    April 6, 2018December 12, 2018

I couldn’t decide how I wanted to paint my toes, so I just took the happy feet route…again. It ended up being a good decision, or I guess making the most of my indecisiveness. Yes,

  • Cherry print toes

    March 31, 2014December 12, 2018

In staying within the genre of produce inspired pedicures, I ventured back to basics with a simply sweet little cherry print. It’s easy, it helps my toes be reminded that it’s spring, and somehow I

  • If I had bottomless bank account

    February 4, 2011December 12, 2018

If I had bottomless bank account, I’d go out (or online) and snatch up pretty much all of this delectable swimwear I’ve seen so far in Spring ‘11. Ahhh polyester, nylon, spandex love is in

Here’s the last painting I did before I packed up Here’s the last painting I did before I packed up my office…and I haven’t touched a brush since. Feels weird, but the break helped get lots of ideas brewin’ now, too. 🎨🧡 Life’s a beach. Embrace the mess and get the tattoo. #goldfishkissart #watercolor #radart

Well, in life update news, we moved to Michigan. T Well, in life update news, we moved to Michigan. Two days after saying goodbye to Kili, I said bye to beach life, felt like a chapter of life I loved was slammed shut, and all the air and motivation was knocked out of me. Changes like this take time, and the idea of ever being truly settled in is a bit foreign to me. But, you just have to look for the little glimmers in ordinary days (what’s in all these pics), be present, get out and about, and choose joy while also giving those tears permission to flow. Ok, and say hi to every dog I can, while holding onto summer as long as I can, too. But I hear Fall is next level up here. 🧡

So, if you’ve been following me for a while, life’s taken us many places. I feel like I’m part chameleon and part lone wolf by now, and we will see what this new season brings. I have a feeling Lake Michigan and the upper peninsula will be my happy place, so hopefully we’ll make it out there a bunch. Life’s crazy. Wear a helmet and thank goodness for Facebook marketplace. And that I didn’t give away all my cold weather gear.
Well, I had to say goodbye to my best four-legged Well, I had to say goodbye to my best four-legged friend, then to life at the beach in a matter of a few days. Life’s been heavy, full of random ugly cries, a bit of a blur, and my brain fog is at capacity, all while having one too many tabs open, too.

But I did manage to scribble down some journal thoughts before the move, and wanted to share. I love these things.

I’ll post a bunch of final beach pics and about life in our new location soon. But for now, I’m just taking it one day at a time.

Or in this case, page. Hope they’re somewhat legible. 🌊❤️‍🩹🖊️ #goldfishkisswriting #thoughts
How do you sum up an incredible life in few slides How do you sum up an incredible life in few slides and words…I can’t. This loss is such a deep hurt, and the love is so pure. Kili pup, I miss you, and my heart is so damn heavy. Run wild, run free, soak up the sun, steal all the pizza, and find all the sticks and tennis balls, my best four legged friend. ❤️‍🩹🐾
