Anahata Jewelry. I heart this Charka

We all know diamonds are a girls’ best friend but did you know that Turquoise is the stone of healing? Yup, it works with the circulatory system and has been used by healers across the globe for over 5,000 years.

Now, combine that little known fact about Turquoise with a 36" 14k gold vermeil chain, and you my friends have a great reason fall in love with Anahata Jewelry.

In 2007 Puja Seth was studying yoga in the Himalayas, where after long days of stretching sweating and posing, she was thrilled to learn about special gemstones of this region…healing ones. After returning to LA, she realized a great combo would be to make a jewelry line using these gems that was also chic and inspired by southern California beach style. So, she launched Anahata, a line of necklaces, bracelets and malas using various gemstones that appeal to all styles, moods, & medical ailments.

The malas (pictured above) are extremely versatile and can be worn as a long layered necklace, wrap bracelet (or anklet) or even a headband. If you buy the creativity one, I bet you can think of many other ways to wear it.

Now the REALLY sweet part. Each piece is handcrafted by local artisans of Rishikesh, India as well as cleansed and blessed in the Himalayas by a spiritual healer. But wait, it gets better. Anahata also donates a portion of proceeds from every piece sold to the Anahata Foundation which provides support for the Khushi Project of Rishikesh. Each child of the Khushi Project is given full medical, academic, vocational, spiritual and athletic education.  Now that’s fair trade.

Gorgeous, versatile jewelry with meaning & purpose. Puja, you rock.
