Surfing and the ocean. It’s therapeutic, no matter your age or level. Something about being in the ocean makes you forget your worries and feel alive. Well, there is a special surf camp in Nicaragua, that, let’s just say, has a bunch of girls that need some time in the ocean more than the rest of us. It’s called Camp Bella, and it’s campers are all victims of child trafficking in Nicaragua.
Child trafficking is one of those disturbing realities of our world that absolutely breaks my heart. So, when the ladies at CHICABRAVA emailed me to help spread the word about their upcoming camp, I couldn’t wait to share what they were doing.
