I love it when, out of the blue, a new line comes out of nowhere and sweeps me off of my feet into the land of bikini bliss. This new line is Soriya. A handmade in the US of A line of reversible mix and match separates that fit like a glove, are extremely fun and flattering and best of all…won’t make you have to go a few weeks without food to afford. Yes. A soft, charming, made-by-hand line that’s affordable. You just got whisked off your feet too, didn’t ya?
Designers Thyda Phev and Katarina Flickinger’s appropriately named “gelato” collection has suits you want to lick. But you can’t. The fabric is luxurious, not see through, and each piece has some little fun element – whether it’s a shell in the ties, lace, fringe, or the magical ability to make your behind look amazing…
Which leads me to the item that did the feet sweeping: The Kelley Mint/Cream Ruched tie bottoms. They are the Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Brownie Blast of bikinis bottoms. So delicious you feel guilty. I wore them surfing yesterday – they didn’t budge when duck diving (ruching & double side ties are the key), and make the booty look rather divine. The hubsters approved too. Which is always a bonus.
