Yeah. I don’t know why it took me so long to try out some sort of fish print on my toes, especially one involving a goldfish. Needless to say, this might the my favorite nail art post yet.
…until I try to do humuhumunukunukuapuaa toes.
Without further delay, here’s how to paint these l’il goldfish toes.
1: Paint toes with a base coat, then a light opaque blue (I used my favorite, Illamasqua nudge)
2: Now, using a nail art brush and an opaque orangey-red ( I used Essie Vermillionare) paint little ovals and a sideways > or < at the end of each oval. Ta daa. Easy fish blobs. I think blob instead of precise fish looks cute too.
*A note on nail art brushes. What I did was buy a nail art bottle at the drug store (Milani is great). Then I take the brush out and remove the nail polish with some nail polish remover. Then I can just use that brush with any nail polish color I own. Works like a charm.
3: Now paint a small yellow dots/stripe in the middle of each fish blob.
4: Paint a few bubbles, aka white dots, in between the fish.
5: Let dry completely then cover with uber glossy topcoat.
Ta daa. Some of the cutest fish toes ever.
…until the humuhumunukunukuapuaa toes. But for now, goldfish will suffice.
