Yup. I’m really liking our bedroom now.
Part one of my mission to make our rental a cool one, was dealing with this massive 13′ x 8′ blank wall in our bedroom. I wanted to do something unique and cool, that would also make me happy to hang out in its square footage. So, I did something I’ve always wanted to do – I made one of my all time favorite coconut tree pics into a mural.
And I wish these pics did it justice to how freaking rad it is.
I loooooooove it. And can’t wait to get the rest of the room done. But had to share a quick before and after, asap.
I used a company called Eazy Walls. They make easy to install, repositionable (ahem, great for renters) photo wall murals. You can shop ready made ones, or upload your own photos and do a fully custom one, like yours truly.
My mural came in 6 strips, and they apply just like contact paper, but better quality.
It took me about an hour to install. By myself. Ok, Levi supplied comic relief. Which helped. If I would’ve actually had help (like they suggest you have) my guess is it would’ve taken 30 minutes.
So yeah. I’m pretty pumped.
The room went from blah, I still fee like I’m living in a dorm room…
…to wow, this place has my vibe written all over it.
Oh yeah, the pic is of one of my favorite places in all of Hawaii. So you can bet your sandy buns I’ll be sticking these 6 strips of happiness on a wall wherever life may take us from now on….
It’s pretty amazing to see what a difference a wall can make.
Now, imagine how rad it’s gonna be when I get some new bedding, lamps, and maaaaybe these pillows.
