I am a firm believer that

I am a firm believer that there is beauty everywhere, as long as you are on the lookout for it. Yes even the grocery store parking lot and while stuck in traffic. No joke. Two of the best sunsets I’ve seen in the past month were in those exact locations. It’s all about perspective. Are you open minded to seeing the beauty in your life or close minded because you just are always wishing you were somewhere else, or rushing through it all?

If you’re the latter you are missing out.

There are so many ways to miss out on seeing the beauty in your everyday life. Constantly staring at your phone, rushing as much as possible without taking a moment to stop and breathe, and comparing yourself and your situation are some of the biggest culprits. I say lookup, be present, take a deep breath and let life sink in. You’ll see the beauty in even small things, and won’t miss out on the big ones either.

Sunrises, sunsets, waking up after it’s snowed, foggy mornings, looking up while duck diving a wave, paw prints in the snow, how a fireplace warms up a room, the amazing way the air smells when it rains, different textures of the ocean, the stillness at night, the smell of your morning coffee, and yes even a crazy neon sunset while sitting in rush hour traffic.

Life is full of little nuggets of beauty. Be on the lookout for ‘em and it’s amazing how much better you will feel.
