RX Bikini Bod: A few thoughts

A few thoughts that hopefully will make you want to move yo’ bod, and/or view it in a more positive way…

• Take care of your body and be healthy all year, so there isn’t a “Bikini Season”.

• Find at least three parts of your body you love, and stop focusing so much on what you don’t like.

• At one point, you just need to stop trying to be as skinny as possible and make the best out of the body you’ve been blessed with.

• Usually, what exercise you hate doing, is the exercise you need to be doing the most.

• The moment I stopped focusing on trying to lose weight and switched to just trying to be healthy and balanced, is when things all started falling onto place.

• Constantly comparing yourself to other people is a one way street to being unhappy.

• Have a cheat day once a week, and enjoy it. I love me some pizza, beer, insanely large burritos, ice cream, nachos, margaritas, hot wings and…

• If you are constantly weighing yourself and obsessing over a number, buy a pair of skinny jeans (or a bikini) and throw the darn scale away.

• Everyone has at least one dimple of cellulite.

• At the beach, most people are looking at the ocean, relaxing and enjoying themselves, not scrutinizing your body. If they are, they are a douchebag.

• You are so much more than a number on a scale or clothing tag. Don’t let that identify who you are.

• Every ad out there is photoshopped. A lot. By a professional who is paid very, very much.

• If it’s easy (your workout) it probably isn’t doing that much. Time to challenge yourself more.

• Your slowest run is still faster than someone sitting on the couch.

• Hate your legs? Try telling that to someone in a wheelchair.

• Running should not be viewed as a punishment, it’s a privilege.

• Men like curves and belly pooches. Why obsess about getting rid of them?

• Learning to like to sweat is a great thing to learn.

• Look at your body as a whole, not as specific little parts to dissect and find flaws in. It’s a pretty awesome machine.

• Laughing is a killer ab workout.

Phew. I could write a book.
